Teachers’ Questions for Betsy DeVos
January 12, 2017

In advance of Senate confirmation hearings on Tuesday, January 17, teachers from across the country submitted questions for Betsy DeVos, Donald Trump’s nominee for U.S. Secretary of Education.

Educators for Excellence gathered questions from their members as well as the public, and submitted the inquiries to Chairman Alexander and Ranking Member Murray of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Teachers are eager to know the nominee’s views on and skills to address the future of the teaching profession, working with special populations, ensuring school quality, and a number of other challenges.

“It is critical that the Secretary of Education supports educators, works to engage them in their decisions, and shares the vision that all students deserve the opportunity to receive a high-quality education,” said Co-Founders and Co-CEOs Sydney Morris and Evan Stone.
