October 21, 2016

Each year, PIE Network advocates reflect on their legislative and policy efforts to share their wisdom with the Network. Below are three resources which capture your colleagues’ work and are designed to help advocates prepare for the coming year.

  • Six Year Legislative Survey Analysis. Since 2011, Network members have shared reflections, tactics, and resources through the annual Legislative Survey. This analysis identifies major policies trends, especially around the consistent work on teacher quality, charters, and standards/accountability. The analysis also explores common ingredients for successful advocacy and identifies ways that strategies and tactics have evolved over time.
  • Policy Map with 2016 updates. You can find bill language, campaign resources, candid reflections, and contact information from across the Network in the members-only map. This tools contains details about the campaigns and legislative actions, plus lessons learned and resources for member organizations dating back to 2013.This platform is designed to help members connect to solve common challenges, share what works and what doesn’t, and demonstrate the impact of diverse voices and collective action.
  • Legislative Survey Brief. This document provides a quick overview of the legislative and policy campaigns Network advocates worked on in the last year, including maps broken out by issue area.
