A New Chapter for PIE Network
January 10, 2019

Happy New Year! January marks a season of new beginnings. Across the country, newly elected leaders are taking office, legislative sessions are opening, and Network advocates are continuing to lead the way forward to ensure all students have access to a great education.

This month is also the start of a new chapter for PIE Network. As I step into my role as Executive Director, I’m eager to support leaders across the Network during 2019 sessions and beyond. I’m grateful to continue this work on the path blazed by PIE’s founding executive director, Suzanne Kubach. Thanks to Suzanne, the PIE Network team, and my colleagues across the Network, PIE was an important resource for me when I was a state advocacy leader and Network member.

In the months ahead, I hope to draw on my own experience and work with you to build the Network’s strength, connectivity, and impact.

I’m deeply committed to building on the Network’s tradition of dialogue and collaboration across the diverse views and experiences of PIE members.

At a time when our national dialogue seems increasingly fractured and polarized, it feels more important than ever for PIE members to continue coming together across geography, experience, and ideology to accelerate and deepen our impact for kids.

As I learn about the incredible advocacy efforts happening across the Network, I’m eager to connect. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to say hello or let me know how I can support your work.

Here’s to a successful 2019!
