Supporting and strengthening the teaching profession was a top issue across the Network in 2018, with nearly 50 percent of advocates reporting on educator policy initiatives via the PIE Network Member Advocacy and Policy (MAP) survey.
Members can explore the MAP database to find resources and lessons learned from educator policy initiatives like these:
- Stand for Children Indiana supported the implementation of a teacher residency pilot program.
- In order to help write and pass teacher career ladder legislation, Oklahoma Achieves drew from lessons learned in Ohio and Arizona.
- Through the Rodel Teacher Council, the Rodel Foundation of Delaware helped equip educators with the tools they needed to advance social emotional learning efforts and more.
MAP data can be sorted by by policy area, year, state, or member organization. Let us know if we can help connect you with work on a specific topic. Or, explore key 2018 trends across the Network with the MAP survey results brief.
