Hannah Oakley comes to PIE Network with over three years of experience in public policy and government affairs. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Hannah began her career as a Teach For America corps member teaching elementary students in Chicago’s Far South & West Sides. She transitioned out of the classroom to work in the Illinois Governor’s Office as a policy analyst for the Secretary of Education. There, she was responsible for a portfolio of education legislation, conducting research and analytics, formulating policy recommendations, and drafting messaging for diverse audiences. Having led a number of statewide boards and task forces during her time in the Governor’s Office, Hannah is well-versed in the nuances of state and local education policy.
