Courtney brings nearly 20 years of experience from both sides of the education policy-making dais, she is a seasoned advocate and coalition builder. Courtney’s leadership centers on ensuring that all students have access to a great education, a pathway to go to and through college, and be empowered to lead a choice-filled life. Before joining the PIE Network, Courtney spent nearly a decade building KIPP’s policy, advocacy, and community engagement portfolio from the ground up. She’s led a coalition of the nation’s highest-performing charter school networks that have successfully advocated on policies spanning K-12 education, higher education, immigration, and school nutrition. She previously worked for The Broad Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation and Improvement. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and holds a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University.
